Judge Level 1

A further way that parents can support the Club is by qualifying as an ASA official. For some meets like the Junior League for example, we are required to provide volunteer officials to help time keep/judge starts/turns/finishes as competitions cannot take place without them. The majority of officials are parents that want to get more involved in their club so if you are going to galas anyway to support your child please support us and get involved. One of the benefits is that you always get a much better view poolside and you will always get a nice free buffet lunch in between sessions as well!   Training to be Judge, the first level qualification are three, one-hour training sessions. This is then followed by poolside duties of which you would need to be signed off by a senior official after you have completed the required training hours.
